Modern-day Dubai is a burgeoning, yet sophisticated fashion industry. With the largest luxury retail capacity in the Middle East, and a growing popularity for style and innovation, the city has become an inspiration in and of itself. As an international hub of multicultural luxury, Dubai is the perfect destination where east meets west.

Over the last decade, the Middle East has well established itself as a global retail destination. However, the ecosystem along with the skills and talent pool in the region to launch has been limited in the luxury & fashion sector. The Middle East Fashion Council (MEFC) was born to bridge this much needed gap. The platform aims to unite all actors in the fashion industry, thus creating an ecosystem of sound and professionally run organizations promoting, mentoring, and supporting home grown talent, while providing a platform for foreign brands to launch, invest and scale up in these future markets.

The Middle East Fashion Week (MEFW) is the public platform, with a bi-annual, non-seasonal showcase on catwalks, the Middle East Sustainable Fashion Forum, among other activities between the main events such as online and in person conferences, round tables, around the fashion and design fields.
