Middle East Fashion Week
Season 1 – Dubai – May 14th – 19th, 2021
Fashion is the outermost layer of the human spirit; Middle East Fashion Week exemplifies the innate drive we all have, to express ourselves and celebrate the many gradients of individuality. President and Cofounder of Middle East Fashion Week, Dr. Antonio Rubel personifies this in a way few can. Internationally recognized and locally lauded as the pulse of Dubai Fashion events, Middle East Fashion Week represents the culmination of his support and patronage to the Middle Eastern fashion scene. Fashion shows, Galas, private events, and exclusive offerings come together to create an experience second to none. Middle East Fashion Week captures the spirit of Dubai, where luxury is second nature and inspiration is the bedrock on which the city stands.
Modern-day Dubai is a burgeoning, yet sophisticated fashion industry. With the largest luxury retail capacity in the Middle East, and a growing popularity for style and innovation, the city has become an inspiration in and of itself. As an international hub of multi-cultural luxury, Dubai is the perfect destination for a fresh fashion capital.
Queue the Middle East Fashion Week – a fashion extravaganza like no other. MEFW offers the most professional and ethical exposure for Middle Eastern and international designers – catapulting them to the forefront of the fashion industry. As the organizers of the MEFW, it is our greatest honor to discover new talent and provide a commercial platform for their success. We’re committed to the highest quality production value and an unparalleled luxury experience for Dubai’s fashion-conscious elite.
The design talent in the Middle East gets stronger each year, with homegrown brands regularly showcasing at London and Milan. A new show for fashion design in the Middle East is a great step forward for promoting the talent in the region, and recognizing the size and influence of the Middle East’s luxury market.
Three days of fashion shows featuring up and coming designers, sustainable forums and mastermind panels, a launch party, a VIP luncheon, a dinner gala and awards ceremony, and an after party – all hosted in the heart of the UAE.
Endorsed by the Middle East Fashion Council (MEFC), the MEFW aims to develop emerging designers in the Middle East, helping to establish and promote them on a global stage, as well as bringing international brands to the region.
MEFW’s Co-Founder and President, Mr. Antonio Rubel, has been at the heart of the fashion industry in the Middle East for the last 7 years. As the patron of 9 fashion weeks – Dubai, Beirut Fashion Week, Riyad Fashion Week, and Al Arabia Fashion Days – his vast knowledge and expertise in fashion event production spurred the inauguration of the Middle East Fashion Week. Together, with the governance of the Middle East Fashion Council (MEFC) – the world’s first fashion council with sustainability as its core value – President Antonio Rubel will leverage his vast experience in running over 12 seasons of fashion events to elevate the MEFW as the region’s internationally recognized fashion week.
The Middle East Fashion Shows will be hosted at the Atlantis Palm Resort and Hotel, an iconic destination providing extraordinary experiences for its exclusive guests. In association with the Middle East Fashion Council, the MEFW will be organized by AFW Events Management and will be hosted at the splendid hospitality venues within the hotel.
